RUSSIAN ELECTORAL SOCIOLOGY AND RATIONAL CHOICE THEORY
Abstract
The article is devoted to the interpretation of the provisions of the rational choice theory of modern Russian political sociologists and political scientists. We use materials of the Russian scientific and academic editions, Russian professional press. The author reviewed the main approaches to the problem of rationality of voters, some explanatory schemes constructed using this approach. The article highlights some of the dilemmas and paradoxes arising from the use of this theory using the materials of the Russian electoral process. Refs 13.
