The history of sociology of education in China since the 1920s as an independent subject within the system of social sciences is presented in this article. Four steps are described: a period of initiation, periods of recession, reconstruction and modern development. These reveal a specific experience related to the evolution of the sociology of education in a major community in the world. The authors give as an example the policy of sociology education in China, which can change the collective spirit not only in its own country but also, possibly, in a system of education of the contemporary world on the basis of a global political approach in researching modern processes.
