“ONE HUNDRED PERSONS” OF THE UNIVERSITY: THE DYNAMICS OF THE UNIVERSITY INSTITUTIONAL MODEL IN TERMS OF SOCIO-CULTURAL CHANGES
Abstract
The factors causing the dynamics of the university institutional models are identified. The socio-cultural conditions of formation of classical and nonclassical institutional models and their characteristics are analyzed. Criticism of these models’ use in the modern period is justified. The directions of change for the main determinants of institutional development of higher education — the quality of the knowledge inherent in the information age — are discussed. On the basis of modern ideas of overcoming the institutional crisis of higher education a number of features of modern university institutional model are offered. Refs 7.
