CIVIL SOCIETY AND THE PRINCIPLE OF DEMOCRATICAL CENTRALISM
Abstract
The article develops a notion that democratic centralism is the essence of democracy and mainly reveals itself in the form of civil society. On the one hand, it “mitigates” the process of centralisation, securing society from totalitarianism and dictatorship. On the other — keeps social life away from anarchy. As appropriate material and economic results are achieved and civil society grows, democracy will become the mode of life of the Russian people. Refs 16.
