AN EXPERIMENTAL APPROACH TO THE STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF UNDERSTANDING OF SITUATIONS ON THE PROCESS OF REMEMBERING THEM (ON THE EXAMPLE OF PICTOGRAMS)
Abstract
The article is devoted to the elaboration of an experimental approach to the study of understanding of
situations. The necessity of the search of an objective method of studying the phenomenon of understanding, along with descriptive methods, is explained. The results of the study, aimed at identifying
the “effect of understanding”, that is, changes of the results of mental processes while they flow with the process of understanding, are presented. As stimulus material were selected pictograms depicting people in various situations. 32 participants at the age from 17 till 43 years old took part in the study. The main result was to identify the process of understanding of situations as a solving the problem of the detection of acts committed by members of the situation. Refs 19. Table 1.
