HISTORICAL MEMORY OF MODERN RUSSIAN AND ESTONIAN SCHOOLCHILDREN: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS
Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of historical memory of high school students in Russia (St. Petersburg) and Estonia (Tallinn), studying in Russian. Empirical basis amounted to the survey conducted in 2013 by the method of distributing the questionnaires. Based on the analysis of the obtained results, the authors determine the content and nature of historical memory, historical nihilis, conflict situations in the context of subjective and official evaluation estimates of historical events, the value of historical memory in the development of historical consciousness and political culture of youth.
