Abstract

In this article we discuss the potential of online interaction to supplement and develop natural potential of network interactions. We propose to examine network interactions through a prism of social organization, comparing the impacts of direct social environment on construction of social networks through digital technology. Immediate social environment is only partly known to an individual in contemporary post — industrial city. And, conversely, online interaction with spatially distant others could be intensive and frequent. In these cases, online contacts may be more important and valuable than the daily routine of direct contact among human social environment. Thus we propose that specific of development of online network depend on natural potential of network interaction (I) and character of social environment and social organization (II). Refs 23.
